KSC J22 Tuesday Evening Racing Series

Notice of Race & Sailing Instructions

KSC Members are required to register for each evening

Racing in the area between Evergreen Point and Kirkland, open to all J’22’s either privately or club-owned. No boat registration required, just show up with a VHF on CH69

Start times may change from published- please monitor CH69

First signal around 6:30pm. Times can vary, please monitor VHF CH69

Schedule of Races will consist the Tuesday evenings from April 26th- end September

Wind dependent, multiple races will be scheduled per evening. One race shall constitute a series.

CLASSES / DIVISIONS
J/22 in One Design setup

Racing Area is defined as Lake Washington north of Evergreen Point and South of Juanita Point

COURSES
Windward/ Leeward yellow inflatable marks

Start line will be represented by two inflatable racing buoys

Race committee will attempt to identify recalled yachts and broadcast sail numbers on Ch69. Failure of a yacht to see or hear their recall shall not be grounds for redress.

Finish will be sailing back through the starting line.

Time limit is based on sunset (not nautical twilight).

Scoring will be calculated using the RORC cox-sprague high-point scoring system and published by email to all registered competitors.

Withdrawals/ retirements shall notify committee on Ch69

Protests there will be no protest hearings.
