Kirkland Sailing Club Sailors participating in the Shilshole Bay Yacht Club’s winter Snowbird Series of 4 weekend events won the overall Class 1 series with four 1st place finishes. Each event brought together KSC members to race the Club’s Beneteau First 36.7
KSC sailors Stuart, Caroline, Rich, Justin and Keith drove the Club’s J/80 “Javelin” spectacularly around the course for the 2023 Sloop Tavern Freshwater Race, placing 2nd in class and 3rd overall. Well done Team Javelin!!

KSC just wrapped up the 2023 trips around the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. “The best vacation I’ve ever had.”
15 members enjoyed two weeks of cruising and learning, qualifying for both US SAILING Bareboat Cruising and NauticEd SLC International License as part of the experience. We’re now in the planning phase for January 2024 as well as the September 2023 Mediterranean excursion to Turkey and the Greek Islands.
